EMPOWERING THE HUMAN SPIRIT OF CHARITY.

WHAT WE DO

START WITH STORY

People are the heros of and central to your story. We help unearth those powerful stories of people within or impacted by your organization and give them the tools and opportunity to say it in their own words.

GIVING IS SOCIAL

Peer to peer. Crowdfunding. Digital fundraising. New-school terms that are really old-school concepts: people asking people to support a cause they care about. Giving is social and we help you facilitate giving in a social way.

CHARITIES NEED CAPACITY

You have great ideas. We help make them a reality. Our team of dreamers, thinkers, implementers and communicators come alongside you to help do the work you’ve always wanted and dreamed to do.

FOCUS WITH CAMPAIGNS

This is our sweet spot. Bringing in the elements of strategy, marketing, fundraising, creativity and storytelling we can help focus you in to have a meaningful campaign that engages and empowers your supporters.

“Working with Charity Express was such a pleasure.

Their creative, energetic, highly skilled, warm and relational team helped us create a story that was both inspiring and gave credibility to who we are as an organization.”

OUR WORK

WHAT WE DID

Brand Refresh, Website Implementation, Campaign Strategy & Execution

THE CHALLENGE

How can Dalit Freedom Network better tell their story to educate, inform, and inspire people to action?

OUR APPROACH

We created an integrated campaign (offline, online, and social), "What Will You Do For Freedom?", that told the story of the Dalit people and offered individuals the opportunity to do something for freedom.

Before we launched, we wanted to update the Dalit Freedom Network brand, visuals, and messaging and implement it on their website to better engage new visitors from the campaign with the Dalit story, as well as re-energize past supporters who have fallen off.

WHAT WE DID

Brand Creation

THE CHALLENGE

How can Champions in Sport, a new foundation doing innovative work in the sports philanthropy world, communicate their identity and values through their brand, messaging and visual identity?

OUR APPROACH

We started with discovery. And lots of questions. Digging into who they are, what they did, what made them unique, and who they served and targeted. From there, we crafted a brand positioning brief that guided the creation of messaging and visual identity.

THE RESULT

A strong tagline to compete in the sports arena, with an identity system that stood apart from conventional sports-related logos, but still felt at home amongst the bold quality of other sports brands. Messaging that has roots in the classic worlds of sport and philanthropy but edges on disruptive and innovative. Put it together, and Champions in Sport has a very unique, simple, and recognizable brand they can work from as they continue to grow.

WHAT WE DID

Brand Creation & Implementation, Website,
Campaign Strategy & Execution

THE CHALLENGE

How can Planted be best positioned as an online community connecting people and partners around issues of food security?

OUR APPROACH

We worked with Planted's leadership to determine what made them unique and then moved to create a unique but familiar brand that reflected them and their values. We then focused on building out a social media strategy around Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to engage people and drive to the newly implemented website. Finally, The Plenty Campaign was created to facilitate grassroots fundraising and advocacy for a Planted partner showcasing their work.

THE RESULT

A beautiful and compelling brand that has a clean and accessible look. A committed and engaged social media following and a "shining star" example of what a collaborative, partner-based campaign focused on grassroots fundraising and advocacy looks like.

  • Direct mail appeals resulted in 37% increase in funds raised

Over the 6 months of working with Dalit Freedom Network (compared to previous year)

  • Number of online donations increased from 89 to 235
  • Visitors, traffic, and Facebook community increased over 35%
